PROFESSIONAL TUTOR IN MUSIC PRODUCTION

I studied Music Production gaining a BA at The University of West London in 2005.

I joined Liverpool Hope in 2021 as a professional tutor in Music Production. My role is to provide industry facing lectures and seminars that look at commercial outcomes and lateral career paths through music production.

My professional work has enabled me to hone my craft in popular music context across multiple genres from pop to hip-hop and electronica to contemporary classical.

My work is commercially driven not only in album cycles in physical format and on DSP's but also more lateral commercial projects that entails my own bespoke sample library based on my production and sound with a recent plugin collaboration release with Spitfire Audio.

In June of last year I released an album with Warp to further critical acclaim and extensive press coverage leading to a sustained album campaign spanning music videos, social media driven promo, live sessions for radio and publishing opportunities. I have successfully built musical partnerships and long-standing networks in this industry throughout my career and continue to do so. In the last year I have had the privilege of collaborating with the PRS New Music Biennial, The Tate and NTS Radio as part of Tate Lates, The Southbank Centre, The Arts Council, Boiler Room, The Barbican and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra’s Liquid Music Series and London Contemporary Orchestra for the Great Escape festival. I have successfully composed for branded content and continue to do so with brands like Beats by

Dre, Sony Playstation, Patron, Absolute and Nike. My music has featured on Channel 4’s Random Acts plus BBC Radio with Mary Anne Hobbs, Gilles Peterson and Benji B.
