SENIOR LECTURER IN ROBOTICS

Anuradha was awarded her PhD in robotics from King's College London in 2015. Her  PhD was funded by EPSRC.  Her PhD thesis focuses on identification of abstracted dynamics of haptic-based human control policies and human responses in guiding/following using hard reins in low visibility conditions. She joined Liverpool Hope University as a lecturer in robotics in 2016 and then promoted to senior lecturer in 2021.

Anuradha's current research interests are in the areas of haptics, miniaturized sensors/actuators, and perceptions. Her work was featured in the media nationally and internationally a couple of times.  Her work on haptics-based guidance in low visibility conditions was featured in an EPSRC news release and California based CBS Radio in a live interview in 2015.  Moreover, her recent work on miniaturized-haptic based sensors was featured in Liverpool Echo, Manchester evening news, North Wales live, and Belfast live in 2020. She was a finalist for the IEEE Franklin V. Taylor memorial award for the best paper in the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics conference in 2013.

Anuradha secured peer-reviewed conference papers in flagship conferences in robotics like IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) and high impact factor journals like IEEE Transaction on System, Man, and Cybernetics, PLOS ONE journal, IEEE sensors and IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (RAL) recently. Moreover, she shared her findings in invited talks,  in International Conference on Sustainable and Innovative Solution for Current Challenges in Engineering Technology (ICSISCET-2020) in 2020:  is an example as a keynote speaker.
