Prior to joining Liverpool Hope University I spent twenty years working in tourism development with Tourist Boards and Destination Management Organisations in the North West of England. I therefore have an in-depth background in most aspects of tourism development including: strategy and policy development; funding bids and appraisals; advocacy (at local and national levels); business support and development; stakeholder development and engagement; and tourism planning. I joined LHU in 2014 and currently teach on the Tourism and Tourism Management undergraduate degrees, where I am able to blend industry experience directly into the courses to complement taught theory.
