Archontis Pantsios earned a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics in 1983 from Bates College, Maine, USA, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Binghamton
University/State University of New York in 1991.
He taught at Middlebury College, Vermont, Potsdam College of SYNY and the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, before moving to Greece. Between 2000-2014 he served as Assistant Academic Dean, Dean of Academic Affairs and Student Services, Acting Provost and Associate Provost.
Currently he is Associate Professor of Economics and Director of Curriculum Development and Accreditation. His research interests lie in the area of the economics of conflict, with presentations and publications on strike activity, international relations and the Eurozone debt crisis.
