Yvonne Ward is the Academic Lead for Secondary Education, leading strategically on all Secondary PGCE courses and is a member of Initial Teacher Education (ITE) SMT.  Prior to that, she was Head of PGCE Primary and also led on Primary School Direct provision. Previously, she held the post of Primary Mathematics Lead. In her school teaching career, Yvonne was a Deputy Headteacher having many years’ experience teaching in both community and faith schools. She was a Local Authority Effectiveness Officer Advisory and also a Leading Mathematics Teacher. 

Yvonne is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Authority. She holds an MA in Education and Leadership, B.Ed (First Class Honours), NCSL’s Leadership Pathways and the CCCRS qualifications.
